What our Logo means?
PBSAI LOGO
- Symbolism: Bamboo is resilient, can withstand calamities - unique and impressive attributes of a bamboo.
- Color, Style, Typography: PBSAI, as an advocacy group, seeks to harmoniously engage and positively influence the 3 sectors of society and the international bamboo players. The three leaves from the base representing the 3 sectors of society; the fourth leaf representing the international community. The single branch holding the leaves symbolizing unity.
- The four leaves also signify 4 main goals of the society - namely - I. Grow the society and engage the key stakeholders of society for a unified approach to the bamboo agenda; II. Gather information and consolidate data, build knowledge through R&D; III. Promote and disseminate science-based bamboo cultivation and plantation development, technologies, products, best practices for the growth of the industry; and IV. Strengthen policy support and reformation by working together with major bamboo stakeholders.

Articles of Incorporation and By Laws was drafted and reviewed by Ms Jimenez
December 4, 2020
1st meeting. Ms Jimenez gathered IMDM together with some colleagues of Dr. Tesoro and discuss the idea of forming a society for bamboo in the country.
January 7, 2021
Chose the eleven (11) incorporators with representations from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and formulated the objectives of PBSAI.

PBSAI in partnership with IMDM organized and held a successful Bamboo Conference in celebration of the Earth Day. Over 700 participants in Zoom and FB live streaming - from government, civil, private sectors.

PBSAI celebrated Earth Day with BOT members initiatives. MOA on Project Bicolanos for Bicol Bamboo and Beyond (P4B) was signed - establishing a partnership with IMDMSDPI and UP Ibalon Alumni Association, Inc as prime movers in promoting the growth of the bamboo industry in Bicol.
